The Librarians: Next Chapter Season 2: Lindy Booth to Reprise Cassandra — Dominic Monaghan, Jeremy Swift Also Among 15+ Guest Stars

The next chapter of TNT‘s The Librarians: The Next Chapter will welcome a flurry of familiar faces — including a visit from another star of the original series.

Ahead of the spinoff’s Season 1 finale (airing Monday, Aug. 4 at 9/8), TVLine can exclusively share the Season 2 promo above, which reveals that Lindy Booth will reprise her role as telepathic mathematician Cassandra Cillian, who she played across all four seasons of the original 2014-18 series.

Fellow Librarians alum Christian Kane, meanwhile, will pop up again as Jacob Stone in Season 2, after appearing in The Next Chapter‘s series premiere.

Other guest stars on tap for Season 2, which will premiere in 2026, include Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso), Dominic Monaghan (Lost), Josh Gates (host of Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown), Stefan Kapičić (Better Call Saul) and Oliver Dench (Pandora).

You can also expect appearances by Ty Tennant (House of the Dragon, Epix’s War of the Worlds), Flula Borg (The Rookie), Alan Emrys (Young Wallender), Malcolm Sinclair (Andor, Midsomer Murders), Reece Ritchie (The Outpost, The Ark), Cat White (Viaplay’s Threesome), Gledisa Arthur (EastEnders), Jack Cunningham-Nuttall (Loki, The Crown), Danny Rea, Luka Divac and Alex Henry.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter centers on Vikram Chamberlain (played by Callum McGowan), a Librarian from the past who time-traveled from 1847 and now finds himself stuck in the present. When Vikram returned to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia, and discovered that it is now a museum, he inadvertently released magic across the continent.

With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes — including world history savant Conner (Bluey Robinson), scientific genius Lysa (Olivia Morris), and highly skilled Guardian Charlie (Jessica Green) — Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made.

Dean Devlin serves as showrunner on The Next Chapter and executive-produces with Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson, Gary Rosen, Kate Rorick and Tom MacRae. Original franchise front man Noah Wyle (The Pitt) serves as a producer, as do Brandon Lambdin, Mark Franco and Jonathan English.

With its May 25 launch, The Librarians: The Next Chapter was the No. 1-rated new cable drama premiere of 2025, and the series has reached nearly 13 million viewers to date.
