WGN America has acquired 10 episodes of drama series Almost Paradise, from Electric Entertainment. A premiere date and time will be announced later.

SCI FI – NBCUniversal International Networks’ (NBCUIN) destination brand for all things science fiction and fantasy – today announced that The Outpost, the Electric Entertainment and Arrowstorm Entertainment-produced series, is returning for a second season on the channel.

The Outpost is the CW’s new summer series. The terrific cast is led by Australian actress Jessica Green. She graciously took some time out of her busy schedule to talk with me about the series and what is ahead.

Jake Stormoen grew up nose-deep in fantasy novels, daydreaming that he was a knight, sword in hand and impenetrable armor encasing his body. Now as an adult, that inner childhood narrative has become a fictional reality as he stars as the straight-laced Captain Garret Spears on the fantastical summer series “The Outpost,” airing Tuesdays on The CW.

The thriller Bad Samaritan debuts Aug. 3 on digital from Electric Entertainment and Aug. 14 on Blu-ray and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

In this behind-the-scenes featurette, Devlin talks a bit about the story while Kerry Condon discusses the experience of working with Tennant, who was perfectly genial offscreen but turned into a completely different person when the cameras began rolling.

The CW has set its summer 2018 premiere dates for new drama series The Outpostand Burden of Truth and returning series My Last Days, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Masters Of Illusion. In addition the season finales for Life Sentence and Supergirl are set for Friday, June 14 and Monday, June 18, respectively.

Electric Entertainment will team again with P&A financier and media provider Global Pictures Media for Bad Samaritan, Electric’s upcoming release directed by Electric Entertainment CEO Dean Devlin.

NBCUniversal International Networks has acquired The Outpost, an original fantasy adventure series that will air on Syfy channels outside the U.S. Stargate co-writer and producer Dean Devlin, and Stargate SG-1 showrunner/exec producer Jonathan Glassner are exec producers of the series created by Arrowstorm Entertainment’s Kynan Griffin and Jason Faller (Mythica).
