Ben Kim

Head of Development & Acquisitions

Ben is a seasoned development executive who began his career at CAA before moving to Kurtzman/Orci Productions. He quickly rose at K/O, serving as a Creative Executive for two years and assisting in the development of multiple projects including THE MUMMY and NOW YOU SEE ME 2. Before joining Electric Entertainment, Ben spent two years as VP of Development at Sneaky Shark Productions, where he oversaw the development of STAR TREK 3.

Ben joined Electric Entertainment at the end of 2015 as VP of Development, later serving as VP of Development and Acquisitions, and has been instrumental to the company’s continued growth over the past decade. He oversaw the development of the feature film BAD SAMARITAN (2017) and has built and staffed writers’ rooms across multiple Electric Entertainment series, including two seasons of TNT’s THE LIBRARIANS, Amazon Prime Video’s LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION, SYFY’s THE ARK, and TNT’s spinoff THE LIBRARIANS: THE NEXT CHAPTER.

He now serves as Head of Development and Acquisitions, where he leads scripted TV and feature development while overseeing the company’s global acquisitions and co-productions. He additionally oversees all scripted development for Electric Entertainment’s streaming app and FAST channel ElectricNOW, including its move into commissioning original content.
