Flynn Carsen and his team of Librarians will continue their mission to save the world each week — twice before Friday.

TNT has renewed “The Librarians” for a second season. The cabler announced Thursday a 10-episode order for the second installment of the fantasy adventure series, set to air later this year.

A continuation of Turner’s “Librarian” movie franchise, the television series centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting the unknowing world from a secret, magical reality.

Noah Wyle will reprise his role as Librarian Flynn Carsen with Rebecca Romijn as his guardian, and Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Kim, as the newest generation of Librarians. John Larroquette returns as their reluctant yet supportive caretaker Jenkins.

The series’ first season saw the young Librarians outwit a Minotaur, save Santa, and destroy an app more evil than Candy Crush, all while battling the Serpent Brotherhood, set on releasing magic back into the world for villainous purposes.

“The Librarians” premiered in Dec., as the most-watched new cable series of 2014, topping TNT’s “The Last Ship” and FX’s “The Strain,” with a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and roughly 5.4 million viewers overall.

The series is produced by Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment with exec producers Devlin, John Rogers, Marc Roskin and Noah Wyle.
